Hi
I have just purchased my 5th Mini, haven't had one for a few years because the kids got too big to fit in the back. This time I have gone for a 1994 British Open (non injection) model with the full length sunroof, picked her up Sunday and had to drive about 60kms back with her, it was great I had forgotten how much fun they are to drive. She of course is a left hooker and was made for the french market, I am the 3rd owner and the clock reads 85500kms. I have the service book, she was serviced by a Rover dealer for the 1st 10 years and has recently had quite a bit of work done by a specialist Mini guy near Poitiers. I think I read somewhere that there were only 1000 made for France and since I have been looking I have seen at least 4 others in my local area. I am looking for a new pair of brackets for the front after market bull bars and the crome surround for one of the rear light clusters, if anyone knows of where they can be got I have a friend in the UK where I can get them delivered to. I will add her to your register as soon as I have re-registered her to me, in France they have just switched to a number plate system that stays with the car (nationwide system) prior to 2009 everytime a car was sold it had to get a different registration number (departmental system), so the number we get will now stay with her for the rest of her days. Should I add her to the BOC category or the export models one?
Thanks for listening
Jackie
