I bought this car 2008.
What I know is
reimportet from Italy 1993 as new
first time on road 1995
sold 2000 to a "pimp my ride" fan Image

Sometime accident with frontal damage.
Completely new front.

When I last worked on it, I found out
Interior is original.
Original instruments.
On the body we find almost everything from Italian Job.
3 Holder, but only 2 fuel lines.
Holder for the charcoal filter in the left wing.
Original spare tire.

What has surprised me is
The white roof is not repainted.
Glass roof could be an aftermarket one.
The previous owner may have converted him to Cooper (the decals are).

At the Internet is almost nothing to find (or am I just too stupid? :happy ),
I am dependent on the help of you.
About the VIN (XXXX236) can be found only
Standard 50 hp carburetor, LHD, not LE.

Could be that it is one of the 750 LHD? With a white roof?

Hope you can help me.

Tom

Do you have any pics of the interior? We'll do our best to help!

It's the orginal interior, same in your listing, with these small italian flags at the seats (front and rear) and at the steering...

if its been in an accident like it says then the body may have had a respray to match the red used on the front end.

ImageWe don't have a log book in Germany
To find out something you can contact the manufacturer.
And NO, I do not want a VW, Mercedes or AudiImage

Thanks for your help.

Not solved :(
What I found out is,
the previous owner wanted a cooper,
after an accident in front, he was completely repainted,
why the roof was sanded down to the bare metal I can not say,
The engine was swapped for a 1380 (cooper option),
with the 286 cam, 3.44 FD and double 1.5 SU's NOT good to drive,
supposedly professional welding work (my granny welds better  ),
sunroof retrofitted :? ,
and a lot of rust :crying

What is to do?
Both A panels
Out inner sills
A column left
both floor panels
back panel (the valence is amazingly good),
left corner of the roof
and even things that are still invisible ...

That'a a lot of work, but I could take these body
Image
Ok, he has the small webasto roof, but it's build in the same year (SPI), but it's free of any rust.
And need a paintjob.
The engine I have already made, target was low noise and a lot of torque for cruising.
What do you think?
Original or lightly converted?
